Casey Howell

Hi, I'm Casey.

I'm a Registered Nurse, CPR Instructor, a Sarasota native, and co-owner/operator of CPR Sarasota.

I'm also a very proud mom to three beautiful children, two big slobbery furbabies, and the (arguably) better half to the stud featured below ;)

I've been a nurse for about 16 years, practicing in critical care, trauma, cardiovascular, and emergency medicine. I am specially trained as a SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner), and in emergency medical response to mass casualty and disaster events, as well as barrier precautions for highly infectious diseases.

I keep my skills sharp and actively practice the life saving techniques I teach in our courses as a Trauma Resuscitation Nurse at my local community hospital, where I also serve as the Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator.

I love what I do, and I'm excited to share my passion for emergency care and teaching with you. I look forward to seeing you in class!

Scott Sanderson

Hey! I'm Scott.

I am a CPR Instructor, and co-owner/operator of CPR Sarasota, Casey's partner, and Dad to an amazing family.

I was born in Maryland, but relocated with my family to Sarasota when I was in middle school. Sarasota however, is my forever home and I am grateful for this opportunity to give back to my community by teaching CPR to my neighbors and fellow community members.

My degree is in communications, and I have background training in the Fire Science Academy and emergency response. I really enjoy working with people, and teaching CPR has given me an amazing opportunity to meet a lot of fantastic new people, like you!

Hi I'm Jeff,

I started my career in healthcare in 2008, as a part time EMT in North Carolina, while finishing my degree in Exercise Science and Biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

I then attended Paramedic school and moved to Orlando with my beautiful wife, when she was given the opportunity to dance and perform in her dream job, as a character at a Florida theme park you may be familiar with...

Next, I went to the Fire Academy, and spent the next 12 years as a full time Firefighter/Paramedic.

I graduated nursing school in 2021, and am now a full time Registered Nurse at a level II Trauma Center, in the Emergency Department. I've also been an American Heart Association Instructor, teaching CPR since 2019.

I look forward to meeting you!

Jamie Pasternak

Hello!

I am a retired Emergency Nurse and ED Manager. I've worked orthopedics, emergency, quality and safety, and in leadership positions, but I'm hooked on Trauma ER care!

Managing a busy ED during COVID was challenging, to say the least. After taking on the role of manager, charge, nurse, critical care nurse and educator during that time, I fell critically ill myself. I was left with chronic physical disabilities and had to retire early.

I still have a love for teaching though, and am excited to share my knowledge as an American Heart Association Instructor. I've used these skills every day of my career, and believe learning how to rescue others is one of the most important things one can master.

I met my beautiful wife, Marta, who is also an ED Nurse, at the hospital we worked at together. She and I are passionate about all things ER and ICU related. We have two children, and three granddaughters.

I'm happy my journey has brought me back to Florida, and to teaching CPR!

Morgan Falcone

Hi, My name is Morgan!

I started my career in healthcare 13 years ago, and I've been a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department for the last 7 years. I have worked at level I and level II trauma centers over the years, and now happily work at a level II trauma center in the area. I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, and am currently pursuing my Master of Science in Nursing Education degree!

I hold four nationally recognized board certifications: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN), Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN), and I am a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE-A). In addition to teaching basic and advanced cardiac life support, I also teach TNCC and ENPC (trauma nursing and pediatric trauma nursing certification courses).

I am from Connecticut, but moved to Florida in late 2020. I live in Sarasota county with my amazing fiancee Bobby, and our three dogs; Manicotti, Limoncello, and Bella. We love cooking together, fishing, boating, and watching movies.

I look forward to working with you to achieve your educational goals!

Gabrielle Mundy

Hey there!

My name is Gabrielle, but people call me Snook. I'm from Charlotte, North Carolina, where I met my husband, and we relocated to Florida in 2011.

We moved to Florida so I could perform for Disney, Universal Studios, Sea World, and eventually became a principal dancer for Norwegian Cruise Lines.

After that, we moved to the Sarasota/Bradenton area, where I currently teach dance. My husband was a Firefighter/Paramedic for 13 years, and is now a full time ER RN at a level II Trauma Center. He is an AHA Instructor as well, and after sitting in on his classes, I am excited to be an instructor myself!
